McDonald's Mascots?

Ok this is embarrassing... I work at a McDonald's and a guest asked me what the grimace was, they are regular and I would love to tell them the answer, so what exactly is it?

The grimace is that purple thing that looks kinda like an egg plant.

The Grimace is a god.. that yes, looks like an eggplant. I really think that he's just a generic purple monster thing. The reason I say he's a god is because I and some friends used to ( as well as some people I have met form different parts of the US) make offerings of fries and sauces and such to the huge grimace statue in McDonalds... he's kind of like a cult icon in a way. It's funny, I'm wearing my grimace shirt today. Yeah but, he's just a generic purple monster made by McDonald's to amuse children... part of Ronalds posse.

Grimmice was the greedy guy with four arms.  Eating everything in site.  He was a sanitary knock-off combo of Sesame Street's - Oscar the Grouch and the Cookie Monster.  Later he became more refined.  The bad guy was and still is the Hamburgler

Tell you the truth, I wouldn't want to wake up and find any of them standing over me in my room.  The two scariest mascots are that d**n BK guy and the Jack in the Box.  Jason got nothing on them.
