McDonald Mariga looking to leave Inter Milan to join Napoli according to the player’s agent
The agent of Inter Milan midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/McDonald-Mariga-c25092, has revealed that his client will relish the opportunity to join Italian giants, Napoli, in the summer transfer window.
Mariga has attracted interest from several Italian and English Premier League clubs including, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775, Manchester United and Udinese too but the Azzurri are leading the race to the Kenyan international according to the agent.
Mariga joined Inter Milan from Parma in the January transfer window of 2009/10 season and became part of the treble winning side under Jose Mourinho. The 24-year-old found limited first team opportunities in the following campaign
and managed only 11 appearances in all competitions last season. The holding midfielder became the first Kenyan player ever to play in the UEFA Champions League.
The former Helsingborg star’s agent revealed that he has discussed about a move with Napoli officials and his client has also stated his desire to move to the Stadio San Paolo.
Talking to the reporters the agent said, “I have spoken to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 director Riccardo Bigon and his staff about Mariga. The player has given his approval to possibly moving and working for boss Walter Mazzarri next season.

Napoli are looking to strengthen their squad after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 1990/91 campaign. The Azzurri had a wonderful 2010/11 campaign and finished the season on the third spot of
the league table.

week.
On the other hand, Inter Milan’s new manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, is looking to offload several fringe players to reduce the squad strength.
Mariga is a prominent figure in the Kenyan national team and has made 27 appearances for the African side thus far.
