i have read things on the McDonalds site saying that thier patties in thier burgers are 100% beef but some say that thier burgers are soy. i need some clarification. I know that McDonalds might just be saying this because... probably they will not make buisness if they say that thier beef is not 100% beef or if thier chicken is not 100% or other stuff like that. If there are any website i can look at please tell me...(reliable information because this is for a project.) many have recommended me to watch supersize me but unfortunately i dont have much time to do that right now so any information right on hand...website would be GREAT!!...would be much help. Also not just on the health matter but is it true that McDonalds might be helping/contributing to destroying rainforest because they need it for grazing thier cows or something like that! thanks so much! your help is appreciated greatly! :D

  1. To the guy who said they "have to use patties, even if they're on the floor" that's bullshit. The restaurants are actually really strict in their cleanliness policies, why do you think so many restaurants want workers who've been trained at McDonalds?

I'm not sure about this, but I don't think they could serve something and say it's 100% beef, and then put soy in it - many people have soy allergies.

I've eaten there with a friend who is allergic to soy, and he didn't feel sick after, so if there IS soy, it's in very very very trace ammounts.

  2. i hear that its really greasy and unhealthy but im not so sure.

  3. a lot of people including me think that they blend up eyes, ears, and noses to make cheap patties.

  4. omg lol wtf bs

  5. If McDonald's dropped their patties on the floor, that would be a violation of the health code. They would be shut down. If that was policy, they would be out of business. Don't be an idiot.

Their patties don't taste like 100% beef. It could be that they've decided to switch them to all-beef patties, and that some stores haven't gone over yet.

  6. bleh!  shun the plastic food!

  7. no peple just exadurate about it!

  8. It's bad........... REAL BAD.

  9. First off, if you drop a patty on the floor at mcd's it goes straight to the garbage. Anyway, yeah the food is nasty, and as far as the 100% beef thing goes, well, it's like that one dude said. Sure it's 100%, but what precentage of that is fat? There is also a poster at the mcd by where I live that lists the nutrition facts  and it lists ways that their food can give you cancer. But I think that's true for all fast food places anyway  because they list fried foods such as french fries, buns, hash browns, etc... So any fast food place is bad, mcd is bad, but so is bk, arbys, taco bell, etc... If you are concerned at all about the food you eat, just make it your d**n self!!! It's the best way to go and that way you know exactly what you are eating.

  10. I don't know, but I do KNOW that if they drop a pattie while making a burger, they can't throw it out, they still have to use it! Plus, once when I used to go there, I was getting a drink, and their soda fountain was awfully musty. My Dad's meat wasn't even cooked all the way once! I do think their patties are made of soy, but I could be wrong.

  11. Well all I know is that their food is fatty and definitely not 100% pure beef. I don't know why most Americans eat at that joint. All the food is fatty and is bad for the human body. Go to google images and type in fatty build up of plaque. Thats why most people shoudln't eat that stuff

  12. McD's advertises 100% beef.  If they misrepresent themselves or their product, they expose themselves to liability.  McDonalds is way too big to make false advertisements, as the millions that someone could sue them for (possibly due to harm by an undisclosed ingrediant that the person is alergic to) is not worth the extra business such a false advertisement might bring.

Therefore, I know you can trust it's 100% beef.  Is that saying much?  No.  100% beef doesn't mean it isn't 30% fat.  And, it doesn't mean they are giving you much quantity.  The 1/4 pounder, for example, is weighed BEFORE it is cooked.  If it's 30% fat, then much of the size will be reduced by the time the meat is cooked.

No restaurant, including McDonalds, could pick meat up off the floor and use it.  This is a health code violation that, if witnessed and reported, would ensure the restaurant is shut down for the period of time necessary to make sure it never happens again.

Burgers in India, by McDonalds, are made of Soy.  This is because India's Indians (unlike American Indians) have religous beliefs that prevent them from eating cows.  So, your information on Soy is partially correct - just the wrong country (I'm assuming you're from the USA, and not India).

  13. It is unhealthy but tastes good to me.

  14. Micky D's is like putting poison in your body but boy do love their quarterpounders with cheese and thier mcflurries and their apple pies and their fish fillets and their chicken mcnuggets and their cheese burgers and their vanilla milkshakes   but i hate their fries
