McDonalds lovers here a question?

why is the regular cheesburger at mcdonalds more than the double cheesburger ?? the double has more meat and cheese it makes no sense

It's regular cheeseburger isn't more, it's just about the same.

The price is set by the owner/operator of the restaurant, sometimes the double ch. isn't a dollar, but to increase customer counts, the owner puts it on sale when the national corporation puts it on sale to take advantage of the ad campaign, national tv and radio commercials,  in the end it's all about volume, more customers means more money,

more money means more happy, btw even though it has more cheese and meat it still doesn't cost that much more to make than a single so it is still profitable.

Some people don't want to eat double the meat, and thus they charge the same price. That's probably why. My mom will buy a cheeseburger over a double cheeseburger anyday. She think it's too much meat.

Remember, the double cheeseburger is on the value menu while the regular isn't so could be just incrementing the regular cheeseburger price over time. It eventually made it up to the double cheeseburger price. Pretty soon, maybe the regular cheeseburger will be on the dollar menu, and the double cheeseburger will be incremented. They took the medium fries off, and I think they put the small fries on it instead.

when customers consume more mcdonalds has to buy more and when mcdonalds buys more then they can command a larger discount and the less they have to pay for their goods, the more they make off people that eat at mcdonald's
