Why is it that I can go to McDonalds at 10:28A.M. and they won't serve me any freaking lunch? The people two cars behind me can? I hate that. What about you?

  1. lol yah that sux, they should already have lunch cookin....by then.

  2. Don't go to McDonalds... Go to Sonic.. They serve everything all day

  3. i dont know, it's bullshit.

how come the 24 hour ones that dont stay open on the inside don't accept walk-thru's in the drive-thru.  that's plain discrimination.  just because i dont have a car means that i cant get a burger.  but the people in the car can.  bullshit.

  4. Some McDonalds start serving lunch at 10, some 10:30, some 11am.....it all depends on the franchise owner.  Now let me address your complaint.  First of all, I have worked at McDonalds and have never ever witnessed them refusing lunch 2 minutes prior to start as by then lunch items are made.  Next, have you tried asking nicely?  Have you requested to speak to manager and/or owner?  If not, Why?  And besides, if they don't so what. That is the policy. WHy does everyone today think that they are special.  You couldn't wait 2 minutes?  You know what time they start serving lunch at that McDonalds.  Of course it is frustrating, but that is life. People think they can break all rules and have places cater to them. Wrong, rules and policies are just that.....and with a polite request I am sure you would have received a better response.  Also, why didn't you just ask for a moment while you "decide"......

  5. Haha  yeah i ****** hate it i think they should sell breakfast and lunch all day i swear they would make so much more money

  6. i hate that too because i love lunch alot

  7. I think you should eat somewhere that is good, rather than being pissed off at Mickey D's who will just serve you  expensive c**p  anyway.

  8. It's called "policy" and we have to deal with it.  McDonald's isn't the only place that enforces "policy."  Just go to any DMV to find out what I'm talking about.

And to answer your question, yes, I hate it.

  9. lol just wait untill 10.30 even i u do get beeped at just say i want lunch not breakfast i live in uk nd my local macdonalds serve me anything i like no matter what time it is lol its only caz they r all stoners and i no them all lol

  10. I would have sat there at the drive thru for two minutes till they decided to serve me lunch.  That's sad. I hope your son is all right and I ADMIRE teacher's assistants. After my sister's divorce, she became one and it inspired her to go back to school and become a teacher.  Go you!!

  11. They don't have one section of the kitchen where they make breakfast and another for lunch. They have to switch over the food, set up, and flow. So they have a set time when that happens. Why don't you just wait the two minutes in the parking lot?

  12. I would hate that too.

But you can do a couple of things next time if they are opening up their lunch menu in next few minutes and they won't let youb "now" order because of technicality.

    1) Order the lunch menu but say that you will just come in and get it when the lunch menu opens. Cuts on the turnaround time.

    2) Just say nevermind and park and get inside and order a lunch menu when it opens after the few minutes expire. Turnaround time (time to cook) and possible line will frustrate you though. Better order it in the window.

  13. When I worked there they made me make someone lunch at 9:30 am!  Talk to the manager and they will HAVE to make you lunch!!  If they don't call the corporate office and complain!!

  14. It is possibly because of 2 reasons.

    1. The regular burgers may not be on the grill yet.

    2. people from the corporate office may be watching that store closely.

I work at a taco bell and some policies are pretty dumb.

  15. cause they are a******s!

  16. World is a place full of pain

  17. uggh i hate it too. it makes no sense... they should have like this thing stating that if its 10:20 it doesn't matter because its only 10 friken minutes!!!

  18. Policies like that are a bit ridiculous.  However, they have to draw the line somewhere.  Now that you know their policy you can either choose to accept it, get over it, and wait an additional 2 minutes for your food.  Or you can simply not eat there at all.  I would suggest never setting foot in a McDonald's or any fast food establishment ever again!  Their food is poison, stay far, far, away!  Or for more info, go to the nutrition section of their website!

  19. First, what are you eating luch so early for?

Second, if business did not set rules and regulations, there would be anarchy.  You must follow rules...

People now only care about themselves.  Is it going to kill you to wait 2 minutes, or, forbid - drive around again and stop complaining?

I bet you wouldn't open up early or stay late wherever your job is to help a client!

  20. Vote with your feet  (or your wheels!) - go and eat somewhere where they treat you decently - and where they serve something which is actually edible.

Forget McDonalds - it's a dump and there is no need to give them your custom.

  21. I agree. McDonalds is one of the few fast food resturaunts with rigid breakfast cutoff/ lunch starting times.

I know at Sonic, Krystal Burger, and Jack In The Box you can get either or whatever time of the day you want.

Maybe eventually they will get the hint and start being more flexible. How hard is it to put a burger pattie next to the sausages and fry up some french fries with the hashbrowns.

  22. Eat dog food instead.  It will taste better.

  23. lunch starts at 11 ....

  24. WTF by the time you get to the window it would be 10:30 tell them to shove there policy where the sun don't shine oops sorry can't figure why I'm so upset this morning lol

  25. i dont eat there, c**p! nasty greasy food, gives you pimples and a fat ***, but that does suck, i hate fast food breakfast, but you have to figer they dont really have enough space to keep two meals going an once, they have to change over everything for lunch, its for their convenience

  26. I HATE McDonalds, so I dont care.

  27. Hahaha =]

Or that you can go there at 10.32AM and they won't give you a breakfast, even though they have three left sitting there that won't get eaten.

    Ridiculous...

  28. I will jam up the entire drive thru waiting for them to flip their signs.

  29. I used to work for McDonald's, and its not a personal grudge they have against you, it's just a dumb policy. We were not allowed to sell lunch until 10:30:00. Why? Because the computers are automated, and they switch the menu's, well at least where I worked. At 10:30, if I was not in the middle of taking a breakfast order, the menu  screen would automatically switch to Lunch. The only way to go back to Breakfast menu was by manager code, and they are too uptight and busy to come over and do that for us little worker bees.

But that may answer your question as to why you couldn't get lunch.

  30. McDonald's policies are not a buffet. You can't tell the employees which policies to follow and which to break. Also lunch starts at 1030 on weekdays. *11 on weekends*, that is the policy, but that is more just an aim. If they were very busy, they might be having problems even getting lunch stated on time, let alone 2 minutes early. Changeovers are the hardest time of day for the stores, try to have some patience. Also, ask what they have available. A lot of times they don't have the red meat to make burgers, but they may have nuggets. So be willing to be flexible in what you order. it has nothing to do with McDonald's people having a grudge, but they may be a bit indifferent. They have people complain everyday at this time about not getting breakfast/lunch

  31. sorry to say but it is still morning and also doesnt make any sence
