Question:

McDonalds shorted me on food! What do I do?

As I was leaving the office for my 1:30 PM lunch break, my mind raced on the possibilities of food I could consume this afternoon. I decided upon McDonalds. I ordered a quarter pounder, and handed the cashier a 5 dollar bill, and receive $1.53 in change. Upon receiving my food, I knew something wasn't right. There was no way what I was holding weighed 0.25 pounds. I called my boss and told him I was not going to be able to make it back to the office and rushed home. I deassembled my burger and placed the beef patty on my precision weighing scale. As I assumed, the patty was only 0.11 pounds, closer to 1/8 pound burger. I have no idea what to do at this point. Please help.

  1. tell the manager

  2. rofl...thanks for making me laugh.

just think, that 0.14lbs that you didn't have was just less chance of getting the runs and really having to miss work.

  3. NOTHING!! omg its just a burger!! If u ordered a large fry and got a small i can understand, but my goodness!! ether way that food is going to go down your aspagus and in to the stomach!

  4. contact the number on the reciept and then ask for the local managers number, call him and inform him on the study you did. BUT the weight could be before it was cooked, the burger probably lost weight when it got fried. lol ;)

  5. Forget about it.

  6. the quarter pound refers to pre cooked weight of the burger.

  7. Write a letter to the President of McDonalds or to Ronald McDonald himself invite him to eat some of their food with you. See if he gags or runs to the restroom.

  8. Happens all the time and its not that bad, unless you see a uneducated kid throwing fries and shakes at you. Which happened to me once

  9. The weight is before it's cooked. Then they add the bun and stuff too. Your pretty paranoid it was just a burger. What are you going to tell your boss when he finds out you skipped work to weigh a burger? That's sad. I was expecting better than this when I clicked on this question.

I once went to McDonalds and ordered a five-piece chicken strip meal and they gave me three chicken strips and 4 nuggets. I was like "What the heck?" and I went back in to talk to the manager. The idiot is like "Oh, she was supposed to tell you about that." DUH! What idiots. They can be pretty stupid sometimes.

  10. Just be happy your not going to gain the extra weight from the food...

  11. Maybe they did not have any money in there! lol! Contact the manager!

  12. I know the people that work at McDonny's always s***w up. I asked for a chipotle snack wrap. I got the ranch. I gave it back and they screwed up again. But it was still good so i ate it. My sister asked for 2 burgers (she's surprisingly VERY skinny) they gave her one. Jeez, what do they pay them with, pot?

  13. tell the manager when your there if they do it again.

  14. Do yourself and your body a favour and never go back.

  15. did u mesaure the weight of the cheese, buns, onion, sauce ect. But anyways a quater pounder doesnt really way a quater of a pound its just the name of the burgher - it basically means big burger with alot of fat!!  i suggest u dont eat it, try something better like their salads if u must eat mcdonalds. And there is nuthing u can do about being short food, if they forgot your fries u can ring and they will give u a whole new free meal.. but not because a burger doesnt actually weigh a pound.

  16. lol sorry, but they do usually state that it's "before cooking" weight. Then they cook it and it shrinks. Sorry you missed work for that...

  17. .25 lbs is the pre-cooked weight.  What should you do???? Um, get over it!!!!!!!  There's no way you actually didn't go back to work over this.  If so, you should be fired.
