McDonalds vs. Starbucks?

So what do you think of the new McDonalds coffee's? I think they are going to give Starbucks a run for their money. What do you think?

I like both of them. McDonalds is a good place for lunch(I once got a bacon and egg sandwhich thing from Starbucks and it was COLD, even though I told them to toast it!)and I like Starbucks for a snack or coffee.

well, my small town doesn't have a Starbucks so i'm really excited about the coffee upgrades at McDonald's.  And they are good tasting and a lot cheaper than starbucks.  while out of town the other day i got a grande mocha latte and it cost me over $4!!!  for a coffee.  i'm glad i don't have one close by because i would probably spend close to $30 a week there instead of just making my own coffee at home.

I would never go to McDonald's for my coffee. Starbucks and the Coffee Bean are what's up! Besides, McDonald's will probably take forever to offer low cal options with their coffee. So, no thanks!

my opinion is starbucks!!!!! because although mcd's is a multimilloin dollar company they dont really specialise in coffee they just do a little of this and that to expand their choices to the public! i mean they've copied donking donuts, subway(uk), starbucks and surely i could mention more!

so therefore my answer is startbucks as they ONLY do coffees.

people just go to Mcdonalds because of their yummy looking food on commercials and ads but when you actually get there and order it looks rubber and fake. And because Mcdonalds is cheap.

McDonald's coffee in Canada is great.

it is one of the best refined coffees you can get at a fast food place. McDonald's had done plenty of research to figure out what people want in a good cup of coffee.

Starbucks is only good because people view that cup as prestigous. That is why people buy there. If you compare a regular cup of coffee between the two McDonald's wins hands down. They are cheaper, you get refills and you get a pretty big cup.

I saw on NBC they compared the two places in Seattle with a guy who was President of a Coffee tasting organization. That guys said McDonald's served a superb brew of coffee. But, America will not go for it because they do not associate great coffee with McDonal's. He also said "they don't know what they are missing".

i had mcdonalds ice coffee and it was horrible

I am a Starbucks fan, but I have to say their prices are out of control.  McDonald's new espresso drinks are tasty, and much more affordable.   And McDonald's is adding additional beverages like smoothies to the menu in the coming months so I really do think Starbucks should watch their back.  For the record, McD's regular coffee has beat Starbucks regular coffee in a few taste tests.

never never never! Starbucks is a real coffee house. When people think coffee its BAMB starbucks...thats what comes to mind when your in the mood for some good coffee. Just the fact that the new coffee is coming from mcdonalds already give it a disadvantage. Who wants to get a coffee at the resturant known as the place that can kill you if you eat their food too much. Have you seen the movie super size me? that would answer your question. Thats it Starbucks is the winner...mcdonalds not a chance

What others fail to realize, starbucks is classic. It was started in seattle where the best american coffee industries are formed. Mcdonald's may have good food, but they what what they can't have, they want. Mcdonald's want to make a bunch of money by labeling regular coffee as lattees and cappicinos. The fact of the matter is that starbucks may be overpriced, but they are dedicated to serve coffee the best way possible. Not too long ago, they closed all their locations for 3 hours to re-train everyone to make coffee. Now would mcdonald's ever close to show their dedication to making food, most likely no. Why? Mcdonald's wants money, starbucks want to serve good coffee. Which is better money, or quality products? Starbucks is the winner, hands down.

for me coffee are coffee, they taste the same, but if you want some exotic cakes, and be with your friends, i choose starbucks..but if you with the kids, and let them running around the playground, Mcdonalds are the best, you can unwind and still enjoying your cup of tea. They also have a great selections of cakes there..so nothing to whinged.
