Question:

McFarlane Toys/War Hammer type models?

Y'know how they have model airplanes and cars and stuff like that, I was wondering if there was anything where you could get models that you could put together and/or paint that were more along the line of something like you'd find in McFarlane Toys or the Games Workshop War Hammer (I've only poked my head in there, I'm looking for something bigger not necessarily miniature)?

Thanks for any info.

  1. There are a variety of kits on the market. Most figure type kits are expensive though.. They come in two commonly seen materials, PVC, and resin. They also have a wide variety of genres, from fantasy, to sci fi, to anime, and horror. The best place to locate these kits is on E-Bay, there you can find just about any figure kit available without having to search far and wide for them, and most you can get at very reasonable prices. Just look under toys and hobbies, under model kits, and then figures. PVC is a bit easier to work with, but figures with thin legs tend to "wilt" over and need brass rod or somthing drilled up into it to support it for a long time. Resin is a bit trickier to work with, but holds far more detail than PVC kits. There are also plastic kits similar to model cars and planes, but there are fewer choices on genres then the other two.
