Why are people against McJobs, Can anyone justify the stigma surrounding this job?

  1. I'd expect to have to work hard for low pay (the minimum wage) and be constantly nagged by the franchise owner. There are no prospects unless you have the money to buy a franchise and the job is something that young people might do while they're studying to earn a few quid or older people with no ambition might do. I wouldn't even regard it as a stepping stone to a better job.

    You did ask for an argument against it...

  3. For young men it means making and serving food which was traditionally women's work. We know how little this activity has been valued

  4. I don't think people are against it.......It's just  jobs that anyone seem to can apply for and be accepted because require little skills...... You don't need qualifications...

    Mcjob just means low-paying, low-prestige job that requires few skills and offers very little chance of intracompany advancement.. in slang term.

    To me it's basically the middle class people making fun out of lower class jobs to be honest (my opinion)
