McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton upbeat for his chances at Brazilian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Lewis Hamilton says that his win in Abu Dhabi has made him want to win the 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix even more.
The season ending race is going to take place next week, and Hamilton has his eyes set on the win, which can only mean good things for McLaren. Hamilton won at the Yas Marina Circuit which came at a very crucial time for the Brit, as luck seemed to have
eluded him for the most part of the season and resulted in tagging the season as his worst.
Hamilton broke up with his girlfriend, faced controversy due to his run-ins with the Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, he had been penalised by the stewards for his on-track behaviour several times, and the Grand Prix Drivers Association had his on-track behaviour
on their agenda in one of their meetings.
Still the former champion kept his focus at the job at hand and came through all the difficulties. He even mentioned at one point that he did not know why he has not been able to win races, that was the intensity of the problems he was facing. Hamilton though
took a sigh of relief with a much-needed win at the Abu Dhabi circuit, and is now confident to build on the form he has regained.
“Winning in Abu Dhabi last week was a fantastic feeling, and it's made me even more determined to finish the 2011 season with a victory,” Hamilton said. “It would be great to go into the winter off the back of another win, so that'll be my aim next weekend.”
“It's rare for there to be a straightforward race at Interlagos - particularly if the weather plays a role. I hear it's been raining heavily in Sao Paulo at the moment - if it rains on Sunday, anything could happen,” he further added.
He explained that now with both the titles wrapped up, he will be looking to enjoy and give his full to create  a win for him, which will set him up nicely for 2012 season.
Team principal Martin Whitmarsh earlier announced that McLaren will be looking to start winning from the start of the season, to be in contention for both the major titles, and the confident mindset of Hamilton exudes the positivity the McLaren team now
feels for its chances in 2012.
