for next season.
“Obviously, at the start, after the winter tests, we were a bit behind,” Ferrari’s British technical director, said this week. “I think we learned a lot in this period and used that later on.”
Furthermore, he said that they have already made considerable progress and are very much pleased with the performance of their drivers in the season until now.
Nonetheless, he said that the competition is very much difficult and they need to keep on making the needful preparations so as to fight for the championship title.
“In my opinion, we have overtaken a large part of the other teams in terms of development over the season we staged a good recovery, but there is still a long way to go,” he said.
It will be important to note the pull-rod lead of the Woking based team for the next year has been reported by Autosprint which is an authoritative Italian motor racing weekly.
“A few months ago it would have been unthinkable,” said the publication’s Alberto Antonini.
At present, McLaren are standing at second place in the constructors’ championship with 193 points. Besides, they are just a point ahead of Lotus while Ferrari are 4 points behind them.
Even though, they struggled during the last few races but their driver, Lewis Hamilton claimed an impressive victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix which was held at Hungaroring in Budapest on July 29.
