McLaren’s Jenson Button and girlfriend Jessica Michibata not ready for any ‘little Buttons’
McLaren driver, Jenson Button proclaimed that he was yet not ready for any ‘little Buttons’. When asked by some reporters this Tuesday about his plans for starting a family life, he dismissed the idea completely, proclaiming that so far he was only interested
in more races and championships and not at all ready for kids.
The Briton is dating the Japanese model, Jessica Michibata, for a long time now. Although the two are seen together very often, and Jessica is often present at the grandstand on race weekends, Button assured that they have yet not planned to begin a family
life. He insisted that they are both doing well in their respective careers and for him thinking of children is not possible until he hangs up his helmet.
When further probed, the McLaren driver revealed that not having children was not because he doesn't want kids. Rather, he believes that at present he was not ready for the responsibility of having children. He added that having babies could lead him to
thinking twice before overtaking a car at the track.
The 31-year-old stated, "No, when I have kids it will change but not yet. That's one reason why I don't want to have kids while I am racing. It's not worth the risk. Also, you don't get enough time to spend with them. It hasn't crept in yet. I will stop
when it does. If you start feeling fearful of pushing the car to the limit, you have got to stop. There is no point."
While talking about the upcoming 2011 Formula 1 season, the driver told the media that he wishes to continue the battle right where it ended last year. The driver was the first one among the top five title contenders of last season to have slipped out of
the contention. However, the 2009 Champion, after having lost his title to the Red Bull driver, Sebastian Vettel last season, is ready to enter a tough battle this year.
He finished the 2010 season at fifth place, while his team-mate, Lewis Hamilton edged past him for the fourth position.
