Mcafee personal firewall plus is frozen on my computer screen. Usually everytime my computer starts it pops of saying application wants to access the internet, and i press block all access. For the past two days now, no matter what i hit, it freezes. Right now its popped up on my computer screen, i pressed block all access, its frozen and "block all access" is underlined and highlighted in blue. Do you have any idea how to unfreeze it? Its super annoying because it goes infront of my internet screen. Im on yahoo right now, and the red box is covering a bit of the right side of the screen.

  1. If it is the same application each time that requests access then either change its settings to not request any internet access or simply uninstall it.

If it is the McAfee application that is asking for itself, unlikely but you never know with those McAfee programmer muppets, then just allow it, it is probably looking for an update.

  2. Go back 2 days before this happened and do a system restore to that date. And see if this corrects it, you have a virus which has corrupted your system. Some of these are bad and peoples out there have nothin else to do that create these. Also see what you were doing that day and check all your downloads, and what applications were used or placed on your p/c that day. And what sites you were at. I also had this anti-virus program and it caused me problems that did not catch these corrupted files, and knocked out the anti-virus program. After you get your system back in order i would obtain another anti-virrus program and not Norton, or Mcafee these guys have major issues on their programs.

  3. Have you tried Reinstalling McAfee Firewall?

I think its time for you to upgrade the firewall also because thats an old version of McAfee firewall you are running.

    or Try McAfee Support- http://service.mcafee.com/default.aspx
