Question:

Mccain's Choice. Good or Bad?

Personally, I think both. I was good because he'll get some feminists/female voters and his ticket will seem "fresher" However, I think Palin is too inexperienced. Also, McCain has had cancer FOUR times. If, god forbid, something serious happens, is Palin experienced enough to run our country? I don't know...What do you think?

  1. It just looks like a pathetic attempt to win the female vote

  2. Strategically good.

    In practical terms, abysmal.

  3. Read this, then consider your question:

What is McCain Thinking? One Alaskan’s Perspective.

  4. Terrible for a man with cancer and who is 72 years old.

His primary consideration must have been if the candidate has a v****a.

  5. It all depends on how stupid voting American women turn out to be.

It is obvious that he wants the Clinton supporters vote but U would think that he could have picked someone a little better!

  6. Good for the Democrats, bad for the republicans. This just won Obama the election!!

  7. It's a brilliant choice on many fronts

She will be the topic of discussion for a few months....till the election...

Little is known about her...and so the News will focus on her..

this is poetic justice on Obama...

He was unknown and enjoyed the glamor of being the freshman candidate...

now it was taken at a stop of dime...by a FIRM WOMAN....

  8. To all the Dems who criticize Palin's experience... Helloooooo, your candidate is in the same boat. You just proved why McCain should be president.

I was undecided on who to vote for. Until Yesterday. I did research on Gov. Palin and I watched her speech and I am very excited about her. I can't wait to cast my vote for McCain/Palin on November 4th 2008.

  9. Great!

  10. its not a good look because of her lack of experience and McCain had the nerve to talk about OBAMA if something was to happen to McCain I would not trust her period

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!!!

  11. Refer to: Alaska

    Highest approval rating etc etc.

I will let you make up your own mind. I am pretty pleased with what I see.

  12. Good choice.

Her integrity will make her choose the right advisers if she needs any.

All presidents are led by advisers.

Obama will do anything he is told to do , Palin won't, she will listen and then make her own decisions ( if it ever comes to that ).

  13. He's going for the novelty vote. Precious little is known about this airhead former-mayor of Tiny Town.

So she'll get some attention for a few days until the realization that she's just another Dan Quayle hits everyone and we can go back to preparing for the inevitable Obama victory.

Good? Bad? Neither. Another footnote in history like Harriet Miers.

  14. My personal opinion is that it was a bad decision.  She wont get as many female voters as one would thinks as she is staunchly pro-life.  There are many saying she will pick up some of CLintin's supporters however she has the exact opposite views so I dont see that.  AS for her experience I dont see how being the mayor of a town of 7,000 people and a governor for less than half a term qualifies you to be VP.  Romney, Rove or Lieberman would have been much much better choices

  15. A better pick would have been Christine Todd Whitman, Olympia Snowe, or Kay Bailey Hutchinson.  They all would have been excellent VP choices as women who are already part of national leadership.

  16. Good? Bad? Who cares? She's hot!

    McCain-Milf '08!

  17. Excellent!  He has it in the bag now.  He needed a strong conservative, to help him with the evangelicals, and strong republicans.

  18. It was a scary choice.  Palin was mayor of a small town and has been Governor of a small state for a little more than a year.  She has zero experience with foreign affairs.  She's a far-right Buchanan Republican.  I think it would be disastrous if she were to become president.

  19. I would prefer that whoever gets elected that they serve their full term so I refuse to vote based on VP choices.  I like Palin and think she will be up for the job if there is ever a need, which I'm sure we all hope there won't be..

The fact that he picked Palin over other potential female choices with more experience tells me that there was some other reason than gender for this pick..

  20. Scary, his health is bad (or was bad and he is 72), if he dies in office the nuclear button will have an inexperienced  ex beauty queen's   finger on it.

  21.   Obama made a good point that his VP was as qualified to be president as he was and i feel secure that way because if something happens to obama cause of his race, god forbid, then we have a very qualified VP. And if McCain dies in office because of how old he is...*joking guys..well kinda* then...I'm sure she can fufill her job but the expierence part is what i'm worried about.
