  1. Are you now admitting that the dem ticket is upside down?

  2. I have four qualifications for President.

The President should have been a successful business person running a multi-million dollar corporation.

The President should be a Veteran.

The President should have been a governor so they have government executive experience.

The President must not belong to a political party that has sponsored a genocide such as the n**i party or the Democratic party.

Obama's and Biden miss on all counts.

McCain has three.  Palin has at least two.

    McCain/Palin wins.

  3. 1 #2 big difference maybe if you look beyond the D and R you will be able to see that.

  4. Yes it is a flipflop indeed!

    She is a political move.

She was chosen with McCain's best interests in mind, not the interests of this country.

That is what bothers me most. She has been in a leadership role for 2 years, yet stands second in line to lead this country.

    Wake up America!

  5. Both tickets now have someone too inexperienced to be president on them.  Fortunately only one of them is running for president.

  6. Except, Palin isn't running for President.

    Lay off MSNBC for awhile.

  7. Obama = Columbia, Harvard, law degree, law review president

Palin = bachelors degree from state school

Obama = 7 years in large state senate and 4 years in Washington senate

Palin = 2 years governor of small state

Obama = community organizer in poor income neighborhood

    palin = tv sports reporter

Obama = University of Chicago law school professor

    Palin = beauty pageant contestant

Biden = 30+ years of senate experience

Palin = won the Miss Wasilla contest

  8. This is a contest for the Presidency, not the Vice Presidency.

John McCain is far more competent than Barack Obama for the Presidency of the United States of America.

the Vice President does very little and has little or no influence on policy or legislation, or any other aspect of the performance of the duties of the Presidency.

With respect to Ms. Palin, she has far more experience than Barack Obama and she has been the Governor of a State.

You disparage Ms. Palin, yet she has far more experience and competence than Barack Obama.

  9. McCains choice has executive experience. She ran a city as Mayor

and a State as Governor. She also is the number 2 person on the ticket although you never know how long any one, including her is

going to live.  As far as I know Mr. Obama has never been in charge

    of anything.

  10. I think he wanted to jump on the band wagon and do something shocking and he seems to think that women who were going to vote for hilary will now vote for McCain just because he has a female running mate...that's ridiculous because she does not share any of the same beliefs as Hilary.  Did McCain even give a legitimate reason for choosing her?  She has a journalism degree and has only been in politics for 2 years.  McCain is a hypocrit.  Imainge if he wins the presidency and then something happens to him and the vp has to step in...America would be lead by an ex-beauty queen with no experience what so ever !

  11. Nope.  A politically smart move.

  12. As a non-partisan Canadian watching this with fascination from afar, I'd like to offer the following observations.

    1.  After the last eight years, you'd think that ANYTHING a Republican candidate did would be out of desperation, but whether it is McCain's strength or Obama's weakness, it seems not to be the case.

    2. Clinton's support was essentially from blue collar men, Union-bound to the Democrats, who could not approve a black man as President, and, not women, but Feminists.

    3.  As things turned out, the blue collar guys could either vote Republican or stay home. Clinton's Feminists will split.  The less bright among them will move to McCain because Sarah pees sitting down, and that's all that matters to them.  The more politically driven will stay with Obama because he is, like they are, counter-cultural.

    4.  The blue collar guys will also split.  Some will go to McCain because he is white, and others, who might have voted for McCain because he white, will not go to him because his running mate is not someone who could have beaten a black guy, but just a female.

    5.  I think that this is a "zero-sum" electoral manoeuvre, born of an age driven by fads, kicks and hype, that I see as having no up-side and catastrophic downsides.  Bin Laden must be hugging himself with glee.

  13. Desperate at Best is the word to describe!

  14. the fact that she has been in public service longer than Obama may count for something. She knows how things work, Obama only knows theory.

  15. The most important thing that McCain lost by choosing Palin was his argument that "experience trumps judgment" argument.  He won't be able to use this against Obama anymore, since Palin has a thinner resume than Obama does.

I would remind everybody that while you vote for the top of the ticket, the V.P. choice does speak volumes about the ticket as a whole.

If he wanted a Washington outsider, Pawlenty or Romney would have been good choices.

  16. Dearie,Obama is the one with little experience and he "is" the presidential candidate.  Shouldn't Biden be the presidential candidate and Obama the VP.
