  1. Ummm its better in the UK than SA  :P

    Tastes better...I think

  2. yes all they make different regional promotions.

even in the Hawaii, i heard they make special promotions like japanese noodles and other hawaiian stuff.. when I saw the video of the hawaiian breakfast there I was fascinated and wanted to have one but it's available only certain region. But i dont think there's much difference between different locations in the State. but in a different state, maybe.

  3. McDonald's caters the menu to the cuisine and culture of their locations.  So international stores do sell slightly different items that will appeal more to the local palate.  Even in the US there are differences in the menu based on region.  The American stores do always carry the basics, but based on the area they have more Mexican style items, BBQ, southern type, etc.  McDonald's has a number of store formats and menu items that are also tested in various areas and sometimes rolled out nationwide.

  4. I live in Morocco now and they do have them; they have the big and tasty sandwich and it is so much tastier than the one back home. It tastes more like the whopper. They also have some kind of meat stuffed in pita bread which is awesome. The fries are different. They don't have milkshakes. The portions are smaller, I believe all one size!

  5. some are kosher others are Halal. menus are not much different. Is buffalo beef?

  6. haha yeah much different, i remember this past summer i went with my orchestra to eastern europe and in bulgaria they had this thing called a greek mac, it was pretty good. also in the ukraine they have a kiwi dessert menu

  7. I went to one in Italy.  Most of the people there were putting mayo on their fries.  I got weird looks for using ketchup.

  8. Yes, different regional promos.

I visited 3 different McDonalds in Sweden.

The food tastes somewhat more healthy.. even for McDonalds.

Not so much grease, but the prices were higher... and no "dollar menu"... For example, when converted, a big mac meal costed about 11 USD. They have healthier choices also, more fruits, yogurts, flavored waters, and "hard" breads.

  9. why do you ask questions more than once and even on the same day?

  10. McDonalds was QUITE DIFFERENT in China!  We lived there for a year, and the main things were on the menu, Big Mac, etc,  with a bit more spice in the meat patties, and then there were tons more different things, particularly desserts and drinks made with this purple bean stuff they eat.  The selection was great!

  11. The menus are adjusted according to the market the McDonalds is located in.  Many have different spices and tastes.  Even in States the menu varies from area to area, as most stores are franchised and the owners choose how much of menu they carry...Look at the stores in New York, Alaska, New Jersey...the looks, the menu, the various drive thrus with the differences.....tables, booths, chairs, eat in eat out, playland......We went to a McDonalds the other day and the menu was so small......

The foreign McDonlds in Europe and England are delicious, but I didnt see much differnece in overall menu...but it was better tasting.

  12. The McDs here in Texas are different than the ones in Florida. So they are different even in different states. My wife is in England right now and she agreed they are different out there.

  13. they have more personalized options for different parts of world and different parts of America.  Like the Hawain menu or when I was in Maine they had lobster Rolls LOL!

  14. I went to a McDonald's in Canada, but I did not notice anything different about the menu.

  15. Yes I was a vegetarian and went to France about 5 yrs ago. All I could eat was either cheese and tomato everything or salad. I found a macdonalds and couldn't wait to get a veggie burger meal and guess what they didn't do it gutted!

  16. We had this exact discussion in my health class the other day, haha. I didn't know much about Mcdonalds in foreign countries but from what I learned yesterday...Mcdonalds varies all over the world and carries food that certain people would like to eat in that particular area.

For example, it was stated in my class yesterday that in a Mcdonalds located in Hawaii, or China/Japan, you'd find sushi on the menu. I thought that was pretty cool seeing as how I love sushi and how far fetched that is compared to the Mcdonalds we have here in the United States. Fast food sushi....gosh that sounds so cool, haha. :)

  17. I'm living in England right now. It's not really very different. The menu is pretty much exactly the same.

The biggest difference I've noticed are the buildings themselves. Back home in Pennsylvania, McDonald's are usually stand-alone, 1 floor, 1 room places. The tables are often only a few feet away from the food counter. Here, at least in cities like Oxford and London, they are often 3 floors and in a row of shops. It was really strange at first having to order downstairs, then carry my food upstairs to sit down and eat.
