  1. the starting wage, depends on where you live and what the boss wants to pay you.  No you do not get all the fries you can eat.  you can take some home, if you pay for them with your discount.  All the jobs there require communication.  And all of them are alot of work.  Apparenly you may not be ready to start working yet.  People who don't want to work/communicate don't last long at McDonalds

  3. If you are going to work at McDonalds, Jack-in-the-Box, Wendys, Del Taco, Tacky-h**l (Taco Bell), KFC, then expect to get sweaty and work until you really want to go home!

Eating the business's profits?  Are you kidding?  Those fries are a PROFIT MAKER (same as the drinks).  If ALL of the customers only ordered fries and a drink, nothing else, those franchises would be millions every month!  That's where the profit is, not in the burgers!  They will not be giving you anything free unless you "earn it".

When my boss at Jack-in-the-Box in 1969 found a food-theft problem (it was minor so it was just like what you're asking, someone "copping" a burger now and then), Bill gave us a food allowance for every 8 hours: one burger one fry and one large drink every eight hours.  I would be inclined to think that it was a rare privilege that most food-drive-throughs do not endorse!

  4. Depends on the citys minumun wage

  5. min. wage

  6. a floor sweeper  or  the recycle center

  7. You need a desk job if you want to be lazy and or no communication. McDonalds is a Resteraunt and all are different cause they are owned individually. MOST resteraunts let employees take home left over food at the end of the day they work. SOME make you pay a discount even, for it. Your best bet is to ask questions at the interveiw.

Hope this helps? Mom of 2 grown children.

  8. Not sure where you are from but McD's usually starts at min. wage, and No most places you can't take product home all you can eat, and if you don't want to communicate Grill, if you don't want to work much, counter. For both stay home. :)

  9. Question1: depends on your age, 14 - 16 = $8 or $9, 16 -18 = $9 - $10, 18 - 21 = $11 - $12 and adults more...

Question 2: No u dont get all the fries you want. U still hav to pay but get staff discounts

Question 3: Working in the kitchen involves least communication everywhere else involves alot of communication but running is the second least.

    (the wages are in australia)

  10. First off let me say that McDonald's can be a great place to work.

Starting wage can depend on a number of factors.  You will at least make $5.85 because that's the Federal Minimum wage.  Your availability, previous experiance, and age could all be a factor as to wether or not you would start out at a higher rate.

As far as the fries go I've never heard of a McDonald's letting you have all the fries you can eat.  Every McDonald's is differant as to what kind of meal/food policy the employee gets.

Where I worked in Indiana I got a free meal while I was at work when I went on break.  My store allowed me to pick any value meal I wanted.  Also as a perk we got one 50% discount a week good for up to $20.00 before the discount.

Reguardless of what some people think every position/area in the store requires work it's just that some may be a little more hectic than others.  If you are not wanting to comunicate with others I would suggest working in the grill area.  You could do assembly(making sandwhiches), what is commonlly called back wall (frying chicken and fish products) or on the grill itself cooking the meat.  In order to run the grill (meat) you have to be 18 years old.

I hope I have helped and if you have anymore questions feel free to e-mail me at atelker2002@yahoo.com
