  1. understand your daughters limits. there is so much going on that kids will normally wear out. let her take a nap. use that time to sit and talk with your husband and enjoy your time together. you will have probably been doing so much running around you will need the break. once your daughter is re charged continue your experience. i see many frustrated parents who push their kids too hard ("this cost me a lot of money and you will enjoy every minute of it even if it kills me" syndrome)and then complain that they did not have fun.

for the parks, get there when it opens. i know its hard with a small child but you can get a lot done that first hour the park is open. remember you will have to clear security checks. and parking can take time. also take some small snacks like cookies. it will keep you from spending a ton of money on expensive snacks at the park. plus a hungry child is an upset child. and remember, its about having fun. not seeing every single show or riding every single ride.

  2. Be cautious of the length of the lines, and how many people will be there. I live about 20 min from Disneyland and only go once a year because I can't handle crowds too well.

I don't want to scare you at all because you guys will have tons of fun! Anything you buy in the park (food, souvenirs etc) will be pricey but it's all worth every penny. Take your camera for sure! Going on a weekday is perfect for Disneyland too.

The Finding Nemo ride is still new, so it's a very popular ride (meaning the line is long) so try to make that the first ride you go on, before the line gets too long.

And Sea World is tons of fun! I haven't been in a long time, but my mom and sister just went and she had a blast!

    HAVE FUN ON YOUR TRIP!

  3. Try to go to Bush Gardens as well.....Montu is an awesome ride, although don't buy the caps, they are uncomfortable...Also, go to MG (Disney Park)...tis awesome....they're the movie rides, like twister and the mummy returns...Make sure you go on JAWS but make sure the little ones in the middle, in case he gets scared... :D

  4. Get fast passes at Disneyland

  5. If you are from Out of State, you can get a second day at Sea World for free.  At the information booth just inside the entrance, you turn in the ticket you just used to get in and they give you another pass that has to be used within 7 days.  That will give you 2 days for the price of one.  And you can just do a half day with the free day if the little one is too warn out.

If you are not staying at a resort in Disney World, a great place to let the little one take a nap in Magic Kingdom is at the restaurant in Tomorrowland that sells chicken, burgers, and salads.  It is an enclosed building with air conditioning and is quite large.  If I remember correctly there is also booth type seats that are cushioned for the little ones comfort.  I know my 2 kids konked out there at least once or twice during our visits.

Taking snacks is also a great idea, especially when they are hungary and you are waiting in a long line.  Gives them something to do while waiting.

If she likes the characters, sign up for the breakfast with the characters at one of the Disney parks several months in advance, as that fills up quick.

Also, lines and waiting can wear a kid down.  They will need some time to just go nuts and have fun. Be sure to visit the little playground type areas in most parks.  Sea World has one, with water jets to run through and cool off.  Magic Kingdom has 2 areas, one near Poohs ride and the other in Mickey's Toon Town.  Disney Hollywood Studios (previously Disney MGM Studios) has the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.  Animal Kingdom has the boneyard play area.  And I think Epcot has a little play area in one of the Imagination buildings in the center.  This will give them time to just run around and have fun going down slides, and will give you and your husband a chance to sit down and rest while watching her.

If you plan to visit one of the water parks at Disney World, my suggestion is Blizzard Beach.  I liked the kids area for my 2 year old daughter.  It was a little more secluded and further away from the big kids and all the hustle and bustle.  And the snowy theme is just a unique experience.

Speaking of water parks, I think Sea World just opened one up called Aquatica.  But since it just opened and I have not been yet, I don't know how it will be for a young girl.  Also outside of Disney, is Wet 'n Wild in Orlando, FL.  A really good park from what I remember and I think has a nice kids area.

Also, depending how long your stay is, you may want to schedule a rest day between your park visits.  This way you and the kids can sleep late, and just hang out at the pool at wherever you are staying.  Trying to do 6 days in a row of parks was a little much for my 2 kids.

Do your research online.  Get park maps and look at them with the kids.  Keep your eye on the Travel Channel on cable/satellite.  They will usually have specials on Disney World or Sea World and are great to watch with kids before you go.  Builds their excitement and gives them an idea of what to expect.  Also, since you are going to Disney, make sure you try and watch some old Disney cartoons with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. As well as your favorite Disney movies like Finding Nemo, and Cinderella.  This will help them recognize all the characters they may see and again will help build the excitement.

    I hope all this helps...

  6. Make sure that your daughter understands the importance of obeying you and your husband...especially when it comes to not wandering off by herself.  In addition to that, come up with an action plan to take in case you guys do get separated:  who she should to go to for help...a number to call...etc...

No one likes to think about it, but as a young mother it makes me nervous.  At least by being prepared, you can be more at ease.

  7. for me it's a small world every time, whenever we go then that is almost always the first ride we go on, the thing with Disney there are so many great things to do it is hard to pick the best.

I would also say that the canal boats ride is great for the little ones as it is all based around the fairy stories that are the basis for films such as beauty and the beast, the 3 little pigs and so on.

with regard to sea world the shamu show is a must as are the dolphins, there are touch pools and you can feed the dolphins, rays and the like.

I am sure that whatever they do they will have a great time and want to go back.

one thing, tell them to get park maps and timetables for shows and parades, that way in theory they shouldn't miss a thing.
