Me,hubby and my 9 year old are thinking about going to centre parcs in england......?

Question

you can go horse and bike riding in the forest and loads more and also stay in a pretty little cabin but,some people l have asked say its a load of rubbish and really expensive,when others say its great! Can you help me out and tell me if any of you guys have been before l book thank so much

My family and I have been to all the center parcs, some several times!

Yes, it is expensive, you are not guaranteed any sunshine as it's the Uk and the accomodation can be basic.

BUT...we always have a fantastic time! There is so much to do for all ages and even grumpy teenagers like the younger version of me love it.

OK it's not very glamorous but as long as you're not looking for ultimate luxury it's perfect, so family friendly.

I'd say go for it, but everyone is different and you may not love it as much as me!

I would reccommend one of the newer ones, like the one which used to be called Oasis in the Lake District as they are a bit more up-to-date and the older ones can be slightly shabby in places.

We went to the one in Thetford Forest last year. It was a little bit expensive but not much more than other places. There's plenty to do indoors and out. You also get to see lots of wildlife. I'd recommend hiring bicycles as the amenities are well spaced.

I have heard more of my friends say they enjoyed it. Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for I think,.

They do halloween specials so that may be a great time for you and your family to go or maybe near Christmas.

Plenty to see and do too.

I would book up and go.

it depends on your budget. it can be very expensive but if that doesn't really mater it is quite fun and would make a good family holiday

I have heard it's really good. Go for it. Maybe bring one of your child's friends as well so that they can share the fun with someone.

It's a matter of opinion, the people you've asked that said it was rubbish obviously aren't into that sort of holiday. You should ask them what they didn't like about it, and ask the people that did like it what they liked about it, and then if it sounds good and worth it to you, then book it (: xo

We've been twice now & really enjoyed it, there's plenty to occupy a 9 year old.......   all the activities do add up though it can be very expensive depending how much you do.

Its great. Lots to do but expensive like everywhere else in England. Its no more than a week/weekend in skegness/cornwall.

It is good I'd definitely recommend it. Me and family used to go twice a year when I was younger and never got bored!

Its lovely in the log cabins!

You can do all those things at a place nearer to you, its nothing special, you have to make it fun wherever you are. Find alternatives, go camping.

one of my best friends have been there plenty of times and go at least once a year. They LOVE it!!!!

All my other friends that have been there say it's worth the money...so I'm kinda guessing it's good!!

But if you're from the USA your opinion could be different to English people.

So I'm sure you're gunna enjoy it if you decide to go

I went to the centre parks near the lake district a few years ago with friends and family, i thought it was brilliant. You go get your bike on the first day and its a really beautiful place, lots of things to do, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing. Your 9 year old would love it, really i recommend going, have a good time.

i have been to a couploe in england when i was about your childs age. i loved it! my parents used to love them too..i cant say much for the price because obviously i never paid for it. if the weather is good then there is loads to do..if not, you can stay in your cabin and have a nice night in :D enjoy your holiday, wherever you go.
