Me And My Best Mate Like The Same Girl, What Should I Do?

Me and my best mate we are both 14 and are really close and basically we tell each other everything. Anyways it turns out we like the same person.

But the girl i like, well i really like her, i always think about her and love spending time with her and getting to know her.

Ive liked her for 8 months but did nothing (stupid i know) and now i was gonna ask her out but i thought it would be too awkward with my best mate.

Were all in the same circle of friends at school and were all good mates , so i didn't want 2 ruin that.

I'm pretty sure that she used 2 LIKE me but I'm not sure who she likes now.

I'm not sure how long my mate has liked her but i think he likes her a lot. But tbh i think I'm falling in love with her too.

its getting really complicated and i just can't tell her in case she doesn't like me in the same way

I'm just not sure what to do really

any thoughts would be appreciated
