This is the first time I have ever been envolved in a poker party. Usually us guys just meet somewhere to play, but this time it's more than just us.

  1. My super duper nacho bean dip is a huge success at all my poker parties.  Here's how you make it, it takes about 15 minutes to prepare.

Take between 1 and 1.5lbs ground beef

    Brown in a large skillet

    Drain

Add one packet taco seasoning and 1 cup hot water

Boil off water to make taco meat

    Add one can refried beans

Add one can nacho cheese (I use this crazy nacho cheddar cheese I find at Wal-mart in the Latino food aisle, but you can use Tostitos nacho cheese just as well)

Stir the concoction together and heat on medium

Scoop into a bowl and serve with corn chips.

You can also serve with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.  My wife likes to stir diced black olives into the mix, but I hate olives.  I tried adding diced onions but it doesn't do anything for the flavor.  This is a simple dip that you can seriously make a meal out of.  Be sure to wash it down with plenty of cold beer.

  2. Bottles of beer.... doritos.... pringles..... MMMMMMMM maybe a wee curry after?

  3. poker players are just overgrown children.........mac and cheese and tuna and peas

  4. if you can afford it, get some shrimp, chips, cheese,

  5. chips and drinks. maybe some wings if it isnt too inconvenient.

  6. I am a huge degenerate gambler... can I come?

No, maybe next time.  I would suggest boenless buffalo wings, party mixes, maybe chips and dip.

Wings are not the best as your hands get all greasy and then it gets on the cards.  Sandwiches sort of the same.

Something salty to go along with all the beer you need to have on hand.  Have fun.

  7. Nothing greasy like pizza unless you're going to take a dinner break.  If you want something substantial, I'd suggest a build your own sandwich bar with ham, turkey, salami, and maybe some roast beef or chili.  If you just want snacks, pretzels, peanuts, and chips are good.  Make sure you at least have some water and a couple kinds of pop for people to drink, and if you're not having beer for everyone make sure they know it's BYOB.

  8. HOT WINGS always go over well.  They are easy make, cheap to buy and you can easily get boatloads of them.
