  1. Venice - but only if you are staying over night. In the daytime the tourists from the cruise ships will overrun the most touristy part of the island. At night is when Venice feels like a true community. Also Rome. One place I'd really like to visit some day is Capri. And one place I definitely intend to visit, fascinated by the size of the country and the difficulty in finding it on a map, is Liechtenstein.

  2. The colosseum, The black forest, the tower of london, the alps, what remains of the berlin wall, ,paris, Red square, ireland itself, countless tourist spots

  3. depends on how long your going for i guess.

lauterbrunnen in switzerland has the most spectacular sceneray and a great place to relax. Interlaken is only a 10min train ride and jungfrau (highest point in europe) is about a 2 hour train ride away.

Paris is a city like none other and you need to spend atleast a week there.

brugges in belgium. small little medievil town which is worth a look.

    amsterdam, salzburg and munich.

these would have to be my favourite.

do yourself a favour and get a lonely planet guide to europe and read up on a few places and see what tickles your fancy. i had back packer around europe for nearly 3 years and i didnt come across a place i didnt like.

  4. London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Prague, St. Petersburg, Venice, Salzburg, Tallinn, Barcelona, Seville, Florence, Granada, Edinburgh, Brugge, Siena, Rothenburg, Lucerne, the Loire Valley, Provence, Mont St. Michel, Burgundy, Amsterdam, the Swiss Alps, the Greek Islands.

  5. Great spots in Europe - that's a long list...

Depending on whether it's your first time or not, if you speak any other languages, have the adventurous spirit or prefer staying in a hotel and being taken care of by your guide - there are so many! Try narrowing down your choices by selecting a few countries that you prefer over the others. There must be some inclination or interest from your part in order to do this: think about climate, maybe personal family history, famous events you learnt about at school, cuisine, music, etc.

If you wish to have a seaside holiday and a cultural one, visit any of the countries famous for that type of holiday: Greece, Italy, France, Spain....

If you haven't been to London Paris or Rome, then go for it. You just make sure to bring the good mood and the love to share with your wife - and that will make any place a paradise on Earth.
