We want to be a theme(like the 3 little pigs, etc). Any suggestions? We don't have a whole lot of money to spend on these costumes.

  1. um... Hmm.... well kindergarten, that was what 9 years ago.  well just so happens I have little kid books right here, don't ask...We've got cinderella, Her, 2 step sisters if all three of you are girls if its 2 girls and a guy then cinderella, godmother, prince if its two guys and a girl do peterpan captain hook and wendy(or tink) for three guys try peter pan captain hook and smee  or you could try winnie the pooh there are enough characters to figure it out on your own or alladin abu and genie and abu and genie could be girls or guys and and if it three girls switch alladin it jasmin or you could go the traditional story routes three little pigs, three blind mice, little red riding hood a wolf and an old lady, I don't know.  By the way, your dealing with kindergarteners the fact that you look funny is enough for them, the costumes don't have to be extravagent, stuff from your closet and some paint, maybe some little dixie cups for noses if needed, pillows for fat, blankets for dresses, whatever, dollar stores tend to have tons of craft stuff including face paint.  Have fun

  2. I asked my kids what they thought would be cool, and they thought that Wendell, Chester and Lilly (or any other of the Kevin Henkes characters) would be best.

  3. How about Thing 1, Thing 2 and Cat in the Hat?  You only need red sweat suits with blue wigs, hair sprayed up for the "Things" and you can put contact paper labels on the front with the names.  For the cat in the hat, you just need a tall red and white stovepipe hat.  These are easy to get from novelty shops or you can make it out of construction paper.  Have the cat wear a bow tie!  Have fun.

  4. Be the princesses, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping beauty

  5. my kindergarten teacher dressed up as Mrs. Wishywashy it was really cool (I thought)

  6. What about Mother Goose, Little Bo Peep, Little Miss Muffet, or any combination of them.--these are easy to make with old skirts you can find at goodwill and bonnets.

Also just type in the characters name online (example: Little Bo Peep costume) you will be and you will get lots of ideas

Harry Potter characters. Ron, Hermione, and Harry? I guess you are all women, but wigs and black robs with sticks.

    Wizard if Oz characters

Winnie the pooh---might cost more money than you want.

  14. You guys could do the little red riding hood. It's a classic. It would be very fun for the little kids. It would also teach them not to talk to strangers. you guys should point that out to them.
