Me and My soon to be wife are moving out on our own.?

We are moving to our own home, we are both 18, and don't really know what kind of stuff we will need for our new home. My question is, are there any web sites or anything of that nature that will give some lists of what we may want to get before we accually move out, or is there any body that could help us out with there own list?

Your friends and family are your best sources. You never think of things until you don't have them. Toilet tissue is an example. It's the little things. Pots, pans, sheets, towels,silverware, plates, coffe maker-- anything that you use everyday that you don't think about. Good luck.

Congratulations are in order!

Moving out on your own take some serious planning. Doing this is a work in progress. "Life, I would have writ about it if I wasn't so busy living it".  

Don't go into debt starting out. A debit card, but "no credit cards". Credit cards will keep you in servitude to the bank at a very high cost. If you don't have the money to buy today, how will you pay for it at the end of the month. Save at least 3 month special emergency fund before you move. That means you can survive for 3 month without an income.

You will need some kind of a table for the kitchen and (2) chairs. A few dishes, pots and pans. A bed and something to store clothes. You can find many nice things at garage sales.

I would go through the rooms and make a list one-by-one. Things you NEED:

In the  kitchen you will need stove-fridge- dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, table and chairs - cleaning supplies - garbage cans.

In the bedroom you will need bed - dressers- linens,  curtains, hangers for your clothes - lamps etc.

in the bathroom you will need shower curtain, bath mat, and toiletries.

then in the living room you will need sofa, side tables, bookshelves, entertainment unit, lamps etc.

Then make a list of the things you would LIKE to have.
