Me and my best friend are really close..everyone says when we get older we are gonna go out.. Is this true?

Me and my best friend hang out all the time. He and I have our own inside jokes,walk the halls side by side, make fun of each other, and everyone says we flirt. Everyone says me and him are meant to be and are gonna go out when we get older. How can I know when this is gonna happen,how do I prepare myself,and how do I know if I am ready?

You didn't say how old you are....but in any case, it sounds like that might be true.

I would really recommend that you just enjoy what you have now, you are only a kid once. Enjoy just having fun without any worries. You can't know now when its gonna happen, but when (if) it does you will know it. Keep in mind that he might be thinking the same things that you are, and as you get a little older, if you talk about it and approach it together, I think it will work out just fine :)

first have you ever went out before? and does he look at you with a shy look in his eye, or kinda dreamy? well if the last answer is yes, you guys might be going into a relationship that only you and him can be in. Ask one of his guy friends if he talks about you a lot.. i think it reallydepends on wat he's thinking. anyway good luck!!!!

More importantly is whether or not the two of you want to be together in that way.  Obviously you are quite young since you're saying "when we get older".  Don't worry about it.  It doesn't *have* to happen because everyone says it, but if you both want it to, then it will.  Talk about it when you're "older" if you consider yourself too young.  One of you will probably eventually ask: "So what are we?  Friends or more?"

It's highly possible but the chances of it coming true if you don't want it to are very low. If it does happen i don't think you have to worry about it. Because it seems to me that you guys like each other a lot as friends at least.
