The only cruises I can find you have to be either 21 or 25. What's up with that? Does anyone know any that you can be 19 and go? We want to go in March sometime between the 8th and the 16th.

  1. I had to smoop to see which coast you were on...Cruises out of Charleston SC and many East  Coast cities...here is Carnival's policy for those under 21 etc...alone and couples...Don't tell them your man is a  Nirvana fan. Cruises make bank on alcohol sales...not included with cruise prices...

How old do you have to be to travel alone?

Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a parent or guardian 25 or older. The exceptions Carnival will make to this policy are:

Married minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple is married. The couple must have proof of marriage at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.

Domestic Partners/Same-s*x Union minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple are legal Domestic Partners/Same-s*x Union.  The couple must have legal proof of partnership/union at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.

Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will be denied boarding and assessed a 100% cancellation penalty. NO exceptions will be made at embarkation.

The Group policy is slightly different because of stricter group terms and conditions including mandatory chaperones, damage deposits and other considerations.

  2. Take someone older with you.

  3. You have to be with someone 25 on most lines

    Join a cruise group...

  4. Unfortunately your only options are ...

    (a) Get someone 21+ to go with you.  Maybe you have some older friends?

    (b) Get married. J/K, but cruises do allow younger married couples onboard.  I guess they figure it's a sign of maturity.

If you do get an older friend to go, you generally only need one "adult" for the group.  So maybe a bunch of you from school could go....

  5. that's questionable.  Try www.shipvacations.com for lots of info and booking assistance.

  6. honestly your best bet for spring break would be going to a place like cancun that has all inclusive resorts. alot of college aged people go there. i did in college and it was nice

one year my friends and i did a cruise and there was alot of families and older people and though we had fun, we were not around people our own age.

other suggestions would be the bahamas or good old florida

but there is no cruise line out of the us that will let you go at the age of 19.

  7. Sorry, you would have to supply documentation that you are legally married in order to cruise if you are under 21.

Those are the rules of the cruise lines and they can do it if they want.  Nothing is wrong with the policy.
