  1. Don't buy cookies!!!! They're so easy to make! Here's an awesome soft batch chocolate chip recipe. I've never gotten complaints! Email me if you have any questions.

    Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies

    10 tablespoons butter, softened

    1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

    1/2 cup sour cream

    1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla (if you're using imitation vanilla, use a tsp and a half)

    2 cups all-purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat the butter and sugars (brown & regular) in a large bowl unti light and fluffy (about 2 minutes or so). Add sour cream, egg and vanilla and beat until well blended. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and then stir in chips.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet (or you can use parchment paper just laid on a cookie sheet). Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

To get a uniform result, ALWAYS scrape down the sides of the bowl during mixing. You want to incorporate all the ingredients uniformly in the batter.
