Me and my friends are looking to buy a scuba tank for paintball.?

You would also need to buy a new valve or some sort of adapter for the tank.

An Aluminum 80 would be your cheapest route.. $150 US or so, depending on your local shop.  Metal prices are up right now, so tank prices have gone up as well.

Check with the shop where you need to go for fills.  Many dive shops will fill a tank for paintball, but have a requirement that you must have "For Paintball use ONLY"  on the tank.  

Make sure your local shop is one that will fill a tank for you.

Without proper certification, you will have problems getting it filled.

The best choice for this is a 120cf 3450psi tank.  New they run around $400.  You can pick them up used for around half that.
