  1. Don't know about the prices, although I think they are cheaper than the major cities of Ankara and Istanbul. I'm going late July and have heard it's breathtaking.

  2. In ölü deniz I think everything is expensive.. For example entering the beach is with money, taking the beach beds also with money, I suggest that you stay in Hisarönü which is only 5 minutes by car and ölü deniz is a bay , hisarönü is up the mountain .. While going down you can watch the beautiful view of Ölü deniz.. If we compare both, hisarönü is cheaper than ölü deniz .. For example last year when we went there, we could stay 50 YTL a might in a pension (the room was good indeed-have the capacity to accommodate 5 people) whereas in ölüdeniz the cheapest pension was 80 or 90 YTL.

    ..

And if you eat in restaurants which are like real English restaurants with all the menu and things written in english( I hated them) you can pay more.. But if you eat in home-cooked meals in an ordinary turkish restaurants which are rare by the way, it will cost much cheaper...

drink was cheap a bottle of beer was as I remeber 4 YTL (2 euros)

  3. Go of the beaten track and look for small family run restaurants. north Cyprus is now cheaper than Turkey for booze but you should still get a beer for 3ytl which is about £1.20 if you stick to the local spirits about £3 per bottle but watch oot for the whisky it is lethal. Olu deniz is wonderful and the best way to see it is to book a tandem paraglide from Hisaronu jump from one of the highest mountains in Turkey BabaDag. One of those things you gotta do before you die!!! I did it on my 40th birthday for the 1st time!

  4. I went last year and am returning to the Club Sun City this September.

Olu Deniz is a beautiful resort with an with a great beach. There is also the famous Blue Lagoon, which is lovely for swimming, pedalo hire is also available. There are lots of activites available the beach, such as bananna boat, water skiing etc.

Plenty to do in the evening, lots of bars and restaurants along the main street. It is slighty more expensive than nearby Hisaronu or Fethiye as Olu deniz is more 'exclusive'. As a guide, it is around 3 ytl for a beer, 7 ytl for a cocktail and 10 ytl for a barcardi/malibu and cike. Stick with the Efes!!

You will get bargains in the little market shops, such as watches, bags, jeans etc.

You will have a great time!

  5. we usually stay in hisaronu just up the mountain from olu deniz both are great places but last time we went two years ago it was cheaper to eat and drink in hisaronu than oludeniz but it is only  a dolmus away. i think though whatever you do in turkey it is still far cheaper than spain greece etc... have a great time
