Me and my husband are tryin to clean up our credit and have no idea how to find one of my old account no's.?

We tried calling the credit card co(Capital One)., tried calling up equifax but no luck. Can someone help me? Thank you

  1. The account really should be on your credit report.  You can get free copies of your credit report from all three bureaus.  It may be reported to Experian.  If it was past due or charged off, it should still be on your credit report.  Good luck.


  2. All of your account numbers will appear on your credit report.  You can order your credit report once a year for free.  DO NOT use freecreditreport.com.  They require you to sign up ~$13/month), after which you can get as many credit reports per month for "free".

  3. If Cap ONe doesn't have it, did they charge it off and sell the receivable to a third party?
