You and your husband get to pick the name. It's nobody else's choice.  They named their children and you name yours.  Those who don't like it will get over it

it's your baby; plus your family can use a nickname or his middle name if they hate Bridger - i'm sure they can compromise.

I have no doubt you will find that once they hold the child, they will find it hard to hate  ANYTHING about it. I wouldn't lose sleep over this.

I think it's a beautiful name, and I think you should name you child Bridger, although your family hates it. Do you like this name? Does your husband like it? Yes? then what's the problem? It's your child, not your parents'. I'm sure they will like it after a while.
