Me and my husband want to find out a newspaper article dating back to 1986 from one of regional newspapers i?

have typed in the internet the name of the paper but it wont let me narrow my search and keeps coming up with up to date issues please help as its very important thank you.

Some smaller papers aren't digitized, and you have to look for it the old-fashioned way, via the local library as the other poster mentioned, or by contacting the paper and asking what their procedure is for retrieving articles from their archives for you.

Your local library may have back issues of the newspaper on microfilm.  Check with them.
