  1. Belmont Shore is an excellent place to live. Me and my wife lived there for about 3 years and loved every minute of it. It is a dog community as well. They treat their dogs like people.  Depending on where your husband works, there are other smaller cities nearby such as Naples Island and Seal Beach. Hope this helps..any other questions e-mail me! good luck!

  2. Visit http://realstate-california.blogspot.com...

Ther it is mentoned about the area of plot, price, property features n mortgage rates

    and the broker list

Or additionally u can try some other realtor sites

So based on monthly 1200 rate chek out the location 1st n go for it.

Wish u a Happy Marriage and Good Luck for the House.

  3. Stay away from downtown Long Beach and most places east of 7th Street. 85% of Long Beach isn't worth driving through.

$1200 per month will get you an ok 1 bedroom in Belmont Shore, Belmont Heights, the Peninsula and Bluff Park. I pay over $800 per month for an ok studio in Bluff Park.

By ok I mean it will not have the modern conveniences you are used to like a/c, washer/dryer or dishwasher because the cheaper apartments are older. Make sure wherever you live allows you to have a window unit since it gets hot even close to the beach. Parking is also hard to find in those areas of LB, most of it's on the street.

I would be surprised if you could find anything in Seal Beach or Naples for that little. When I have looked their 1 bedrooms start at $1500 a month.

Do a craigslist.com search and be sure to look for places that allow dogs, not all do.

2 apartment managment companies in LB are Pabst-Kinney and Belmont Brokerage.
