  1. a turtle is a reptile, so your friend is right, although they do live in water they need the sun to thermoregulate their body temp and help digest their food, a turtle is classed as an aquatic reptile so it lives in water and on land,

  2. Look it up in the internet, tards

  3. turtles are reptiles they cant breath through their skin and can live away from water a lot longer than a frog.

  4. soz man ur friend is right sayin a turtle is an amphibian is like caling a water dragon amphibian

  5. Turtle soup......just kidding...I think you both are right....Blessings Yahoo

  6. Sorry, but your friend is right, turtles are reptiles. However, you would be correct to say (many) turtles are "amphibious", (the ability to live on land and water. Most water turtles can travel many miles over land. Sea turtles not included. So, you are correct in describing them as amphibious (adjective) while he is correct in calling them reptiles (noun). Amphibians are toads, frogs, newts, and salamanders.

BTW. You did spell amphibian correctly.
