Check out cozumelmycozumel.com for information on restaurants and other attractions. Rent a car and drive to the other side of the Island and check out Coconuts, nice outdoor restaurant and bar overlooking the Caribbean. Lots of snorkeling, try scuba diving, Chankanaab has some great snorkeling and you can try scuba there. You should take the ferry over to Playa Del Carmen and there are all kinds of things to do on the mainland. Playa is nice and worth going to. (tours to the ruins, etc.) Playatrips.com to check out tours. Xcaret is a nice eco-park you can take a cab from Playa, only 5 min. away. Do not take tour of Xcaret you can take a cab and buy tickets at Xcaret for less money. There are not a lot of sights to see in Cozumel the Island is rather flat, but the snorkeling and scuba diving is great. The food in Cozumel is very good and seems to be more reasonable than the Mainland. Tripadvisor.com has dining scene of Playa Del Carmen as well.
