Me and my wife want to travel sometime during the week of Dec 13th, and return no later than Dec 19th.?

Question

We live 200 miles south of Chicago, and are only requirement is we want to go somewhere warm and nice for December. We really don’t can’t we just want warm nice weather, and ocean view, so a resort or a cruise would work. Do you think we could get a better last minute deal, or book ahead? We don’t travel often so any advice appreciated. We do have passports, and looking at max a 4 night stay somewhere.

Hawaii would be nice! and usually booking in advance is cheaper (early bird special). Tickets get way expensive during the holiday season. Plus it guarantees your get away to paradise!

go to Cabo San Lucas!! It's beautiful, and not highly developed like other areas in Mexica so it's not trashy, and filled with drunk teens. There are plenty of places that aren't ridiculously priced too. As for the flights. You should honestly buy your ticket TODAY! My father is a pilot so I fly A LOT! gas is going to continue to go up, the airlines are paying an addition 6 billion in the coming year for gas which is causing the airlines to cut flights, use smaller aircrafts, and yes, raise your prices. I'll put it this way. I go to college in chicago, but home is minnesota. I go home every six weeks or so. Around Christmas last year (one of the most expensive times to fly) I paid $30 from Chicago to Minneapolis one way! I never paid more than $80 any other time either. BUT, last month, I went to buy a round trip to go visit, and it was $407 before taxes!! So my best advice, is to buy your ticket as soon as possible no matter where you go. Christmas is the most expensive time of year next to spring break as well.

DISNEY WORLD! There is so much to do and it is really not busy at all at that time. Stay at an all inclusive resort and have the time of your life! Go to downtown disney...do the clubs fun restaurants..just have fun!

Look into a cruise - NCL has a cruise from Miami to the Bahamas for about $250/person - that's from their website. I'm sure you could get at least 25% off if you look on other websites.

Basically, the sky is the limit - how much money are you wanting to budget for the trip?

Go on a Disney Cruise! Book ahead of time for sure. Disney Cruises are great for all agres and youll get to go to disneys private island.
