i would recommend:

one missed call

creep*** (its a movie that takes place in a subway station. its good)

the silence of the lambs (CREEEEPY)

or nightmare on elm street (kindof funny cause its old, but its fun to watch)

If you like seriously scary movies The Grudge and The Grudge 2 are great. If you like "lightly" scary movies try Ghost Rider, it's exciting but not very frightening.

The movie about Chucky is called Child's Play. It's about an evil doll, and it's fun-scary.

The Wicker Man (remake) is good too, very few scary visuals, it's mostly emotionally frightening.

Theres a movie called the orphanige its in French and Spanish though but it was pretty creepy even though i only caught onto a few Spanish words  :P
