  1. Sandwhiches are good. Also invest in a good thermos, then you can send soups, pastas and anything else that will fit into it, and keep it warm until meal time.

  2. You could send hot dogs, you can boil them......Chicken nuggets, french fries, macaroni and cheese,   vegtable or chicken noodle soup,  kid cuisine meals...I think you can cook them in the oven too.  Hope this gives you some ideas!

  3. you want food all kids like that is easy to cook. green beans. apple sauce, chicken nuggets, spegghetti, soups, crackers && peanut butter (let them try to put it on themselves, or help you. they like to help in the kitchen)

whatever you do just keep kids away from hot materials, and sharp objects. safety is important.

  4. Make a baked ziti, it can sit overnight in your fridge. Then give her the instructions to bake it the next day.

    To make it...

Boil 1 lb. of penne for 8 minutes.

Take 1 lb. of ground beef or ground sausage and cook it in a deep pot or pan. Drain off fat. Add your favorite sauce or 1 jar sauce. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix (15 oz.) ricotta, half of a 1 lb. brick of mozzarella cheese, 1 tsp. basil, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Set aside.

Toss the pasta with the sauce.

In a 13x9 pan, spoon in half the pasta. Spread cheese mixture over. Layer w remaining pasta. Sprinkle w the remaining mozzarella cheese.

    Cover w foil.

If baking now, then bake @ 350 for 25 minutes. Then bake for 5 minutes without foil.

If you put it in your fridge after putting the foil on, then it may need to bake for about an hour at the babysitters.

We're a family of 6 and this plus a salad feeds everyone w a little bit of leftovers.  You can always make less if this is too much, just alter the recipe.

  5. Who is this sitter who does not have a microwave. Interesting.

Get cookie cutters to cut sandwiches into little shapes -- cheese and turkey with a little mayo is good.

He will not eat fruit or veggies that are not pureed. Oh whatever. Sometimes kids need to be exposed to things more than once before you make that pronouncement.

Try a few slices of canned peaches in a little gladware container he can pick up with his hands -- you might be surprised. Also if he could dip cucumber sticks into Ranch dressing you might also be surprised. All three of those together would be one meal.

Roast a chicken or get a rotisserie chicken from the deli and cut it into little shreds and send some Ranch or French dressing for dipping.  Send little sandwich pieces -- whole grain bread spread with cream cheese and All Fruit preserves.

I still seriously think you would be surprised if you gave him tomato and cucumber bits that are easy to pick up and let him have something to dip them in.  You could add little pieces of cheese and lunchmeat and have essentially a finger food chef salad. Still send some whole grain bread with cheese/cream cheese/all fruit preserves so he gets some carbs as well.

Hard boiled egg plus a sandwich as described above and again trying to expose him to some veggies or fruits he can pick up and explore himself.

Egg salad or tuna salad or chicken or ham salad on whole grain bread.

Mac & cheese or spaghetti mixed with marinara sauce and cottage cheese in a thermos
