4. here is on of the many ways to do so

im going to try this tomorrow

Depending on how many you want to start with is up to you.

But get you a ten gallon tank and fill it about 1/4 to 1/2 full of just regular potting soil. Get you some meals worms and if you have some beatles already that would be great. Put them in the soil. Then goto the feed store and get you a small bag of unmedicated chick starter. Put in a handful on top of the soil. For a water source get you a thick rag and wet it and wring it out just a little. You want the rag to wet but not dripping. Fold the rag in half and lay it on top of the soil away from the chick starter.

If you leave them alone for a while and just make sure the rag stays at least damp. They will flourish. You will start to have mealworms out of your ears.

    here is my way now

I use the plastic shoebox totes from walmart, they cost $1 each. I feel a 1/3 or so with oatmeal and dump in the mealworms. I give them either a potato slice or the left overs of greens from my beardie's salad every day or two. Just make sure the oatmeal doesn't get too damp and mold. Eventually you'll start noticing pupae in the container. Once this starts, start searching the container more frequently for pupae as the mealworms will nibble and kill the pupae. I remove the pupae and put them into another container and let them come out into beetles. Once they come out as beetles I put them in a 3rd container which also is filled with 1/3 oatmeal. Every couple weeks I take out the beetles and put them into a new container to let the eggs hatch and babies grow. It's much more simple than it took to write out. hope it helps you.
