One of my good friends is going to have her second baby this week and I wanted to prepare her a couple meals for her and her son (she is single) so she didn't have to worry about cooking with the new baby and a 3 year old running around. I have some ideas but I wanted to hear your suggestions too. Thanks so much!

  1. Those listed above are great.  How about some desserts- or cookies for the three year old?  (maybe mom too.)  peanut better cookies and oatmeal raisin are good choices.

  2. healthy, wholesome foods, strength building foods, milk, pasta, whole breads, do ask her what she likes, and as for the child, pasta is a good choice in kid friendly size like ravoli, mac and cheese, fresh fruit, fresh raw veggies, in small bite size pieces like carrots, cherry tomatoes

  3. try great things that help with milk production. breads and pastas contain yeast. also, ask her what her favorite foods are and prepare meals with those in them. as for the three yr old, they almost all love spaghetti, lasagna, burgers, hot dogs, mac n cheese. these can be easy things you can make for the both of them (provided that your friend likes "kid friendly" food, too) good luck, and kudos for you taking care of your friend.
