  1. mean is another word for average

so it is saying the average rainfall over 6 months is 90 mm

    so 6*90=540mm

  2. Mean = arithmetic average of a set of number, i.e

    = sum(a1, .. a(n))/n

Median is the middle number out of an ordered set of numbers. i.e.

    Out of this set: [1, 5, 7 ,8, 11, 17, 19], 8 is the median

Mode is the most frequent number out of a set of numbers. For example, if you sample n buckets of butter, and weigh them, and found the most frequently occuring weight is 451 grams, then that is called the mode.

  3. the mean is the average amount of rainfall over 6 months (90 mins)

the mode is the amount of mins that rain took place throughout the 6 month time period

the median is the least amount of rain (in mins) over the 6 month period subtracted from the most amount of rain (in mins) over the 6 month period

    hope this helps :)
