  1. Ok to find the mean add up all the numbers and divide by the number of numbers.

    The median is the middle number.

    The mode is the number that appears most frequently.

    The outlier is the 'error measurement', the number that doesnt fit.

  3. To work out the mean, add them all up and divide the answer by how many numbers you added up.

    To find the median, line them up in numerical order from lowest to highest, and find what the middle number is. This is your median. If there is no middle number (i.e. there are two numbers in the middle) you add those two numbers up and divide by 2. This is your median.

    To find the mode, find which number occurs the most.

    To find the outlier, its a number which is a certain distance away from the mean. There are different methods to decide which distance you use.
