 The term mandatory administrative processing is usually used by the government when they need you do more paperwork.  It is when the applicant is being checked more closely. It can be for security checks which encompass fingerprints and/or name checks or for document verification.

My eb5 visa got approved when i went for the interview they given me the letter stating please bear with us we are going mandatory administative processing. what doese it mean how much time it will take can they say no please let me know it is urgent

To the person from Kenya. Did you get the visa or are you still in AP? I am in the same situation as you. It has been 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days for us now of being in AP.

my husband is from us and from kenya and we got married in 2007 and our paperwork was done and we have our interview for spouse visa on august  2009 bt until now we didn't get our visa as they say that it's in mandatory administrative processing so i really don't know what is the problem is and until now we didn't get the visa so how can you help me understand i really miss my husband and really lonely here and the visa is the only thing can bring us together, thank you
