  1. I dont know what the letters actually stand for. But CR, KX, SX, YZ, RM, those are all two stroke motocross bikes. CRF, KXF, SXF, YZF, RMZ, those are all four stroke motocross bikes. XR, KLX, TTR, those are lame trail bikes. If you want a motocross bike, get a four stroke. It doesnt matter which brand really, any of the five mentioned are great. Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and KTM. If you are younger and dont have a lot of riding experience, you might want to get a CRF150R.


  2. i know CR stands for close-ratio, meaning 2 stroke.

    XRs are meant for baja style riding, open trails as well as rough stuff. CRF is bsically a 4 stroke that thinks its a 2 stroke. Fs are very good for racing as well as trails, its like the hybrid model (and my favorite); its the do-it-all bike. CRs are 2 stroke so its good for closed course racing and tricks, not so hot on trails because of the close ratio gear box.
