The few people named Tursak who I find in America came from Hungary about 1906, or from Slovenia about 1924.  (Considering the political situation in 1906, those "Hungarians" might have been Slovenes too.)

t as in Tiger/ur as in bIRd/s as in Sam/ a as in Apple/ck as in chiCK,  and spelling appears  to be of Russian origin.

There are only a few in the 1920 census.  The oldest were born in Hungary.
