  1. Tattos are a personal choice.

Really a tatto should mean something too you because it will be with you forever. My friend recently got a tatto of a butterfly and now regrets it beacuse it's not personal too her.

However your idea sounds nice, so on the safe side why not wait a year or so and then if you still like the idea then see about getting it.

    Good luk!

  2. It's the tattoos that don't mean anything that you end up regretting.  Don't bother till you're older and you have some depth.

  3. dont just get one because you are 18.

is that a tattoo your gonna want to see on your back when you are 85?

  4. As long as it is tasteful and you can cover it if you ever need to for work, then go for it, it is your body.

Mind you it is for life so think very carefully before you do it.

  5. well there's plenty of people that have meaningless tattoos like stars, flowers. it doesn't really need to mean something, as long as that what you like. I'd say go for it.

  6. No offense, but don't be so selfish. Obey your parents because they know what's best for you. You may get a tattoo if you can ALONE run your life. You might regret that you even wanted to have a tattoo. Why do you need one anyway? It's gonna be hidden also. What do you want it for? Do you want it to be the base of your shirt? Think again. You might be wrong. Hena tattoo is much better if you just want a flower. Plus, it's cheaper and doesn't hurt. They are not permanent either. The real tattoo would obviously hurt you and it's expensive. What if someday, you'll say, "I WANNA CHANGE THIS TATTOO TO A DIFFERENT KIND". How will you do that? Tattoos are permanent unlike hena tattoos. So, better decide wisely.

  7. This one

or maybe RANDOM across your forehead.

    XD

  8. it would be different if the tattoo was a name or picture of someone but if its just a flower, who cares? just go for it!

  9. Well in my opinion everyone is more beautiful if their bodies are clean.

    but tattoos are cool too.

    but its your call.

  10. If you really want it go for it. But remember, its permanent . . . except when you have it removed by surgery. :)

  11. get it girl. itll b fun. whats the worst that can happen. when u get old itll just b a reminder of your younger days. just make sure u go to a good shop. u dont want a ugly *** tatoo 4ever

  12. you have wanted it for over a year. which means it's not a fleeting thougth. you are now 18yo and can do with your body as you want. you are being smart by placing it in a coverable location.

also, i sort of asked the same question ystdy...

i found some images i wanted to use that i felt didn't have a specific meaning. not that every tattoo has to mean something but always ends up meaning something in a round about way....

basically, i'll quote the b/a from mine...

"If you truly love an image, it is tattooed on your body, ... how much more personal can you get?

So it does hold meaning for you, it is special, it is unique to you, it is personal!!...... because you are you. Your liking the design, or image, or picture, or idea, is because of who you are, and is deeply personal."

  13. honestly i got one at 18 and it was something that i wanted it meant alot to me, but i was rushed into getting it by my best friend before it was completely finished. now every time i tie my hair up and some one sees it on the back of my neck and asks what it means i have to explain what it is and the reason its not finished and why i got it etc...it always makes me feel bad :( i wish i had of waited till i was completely ready and 100 percent about it.... because now 3 years later i completely regret it and believe me honey i think you will too...just wait find something that you really want and will mean something to you forever not just for now :)

  14. Not every tattoo need to have a 'special meaning' or a back story to it! All my tattoos were done purely for the aesthetic value. I don't need for my tatts to be deep and special. To me tattoos are a form of art therefore I'll get tattoos that'll look good and more importantly that I'll enjoy looking at - and after all these years I still love them because they look good to me not because they mean something special. Of course if that's what you want then go for it. Tattoos are a personal choice so to each their own. If you really like the look of the flower and think that you'll love it on your neck then go ahead and do it.

But if you're still ho-humming about it (and you sound like you are) then maybe hold for a bit and see how you feel. If you still want it bad in the future then do it. Also if you're worried about regretting in the future then maybe you shouldn't get a tattoo for now because that's not how you should approach it. People who usually get tatts aren't worried about the future and whether they'll regret it. They get it because they love it and want it - pure and simple.

    Good luck.

  15. Well I think there is a big difference between a "meaningless" tattoo and a tattoo that is meant to be beautiful. If you get a flower tattoo, it does have a meaning - it means that you value beauty and want to enhance your appearance. I don't think that's meaningless, just because it doesn't have a story behind it. I love flower tattoos. And remember that for most of history, people have been getting tattoos to make themselves more beautiful and as a rite of passage. I think you should go for it if you want it.

  16. Get the dang tattoo and stop worrying.... If you don't want to disappoint your parents then don't. Every tattoo you get has some sorta meaning to it. Whether its a pretty flower that you think would make you feel and look better....personally I think it sounds nice.

  17. People that get tattoos just for the h**l of it usually end up hating it and regretting it. Wait until you have something meaningful that you want to get on your body forever.

  18. I've never understood why people want to get tattoos in places where they cannot see them without the help of a mirror?

    Lower back?  Upper shoulders?

Might as well get one on the bottom of your foot.

  19. If it's not visible, it's fine.

    It's your body after all.
