Meanings to the diferent colors for nautical stars?

I know there are several meanings for the nautical star but i've been thinking before i go out and get one inked i should find out what the different colors mean and so on so forth.

im a tattoo artist and have 5 nautical stars up my spine amongst many other tatts..

there are many different meanings to colours on these stars, but these are the meanings i go by:

green = peace

purple = compassion

blue = strength

red = love

pink = trust

you can have your own meaning, which makes it even more special :)

I can't answer your question on colors but I want to give you some insight. Nautical stars have been abused as tattoo designs in the younger generation. They are perfect for those who want ink but have know idea what they want. If you have a real reason to get the star, go for it. Otherwise, dont try to prove your nonconformist by getting a overly-common design.
