how do i calculate the concentration for the following diluted solution?

40.0 mL of 20.0 g/L of sodium carbonate solution is diluted to 250 mL.

  1. You use VN = V'N'. Or the volume multiplied by the concentration is constant. The final volume is 250 ml. So, you need the final concentration. You have: N' = VN/V' = 0,04 L * 20 g/L / .25 L = 0,032 g/L.
