Measuring the moon using a light meter?

what would the measurement on the light meter be?? Can it exceed 50??

  1. what do you need to measure?

    when i take pictures of the moon through telesscopes i assume teh moon is the same colour as a grey card (pretty close), and since it's illuminated by the same sun as earth is, the base exposure is sunny f/16.


  2. The moon does not give off any light, any light you are detecting is light reflected off the moon by the sun.

    All the light in our solar system is given out by the sun and other distant stars.
