Meat in Freezer for 7 months is it any good?

Its rapped in what the store seals them with. The see threw rap. I remeber being told it is good 4 a long time and thats Y people have the BIG freezers to store things. But i am just not 100% on how long b4 i shouldnt eat it. Please let me know. Its beef!

It's safe. Just how long do you think the meat in Mcdonalds has been in the freezer? Yeah a long time.

It has probably decreased flavor and quality (ie freezer burn) but it is probably completely safe to eat, especially if thoroughly cooked.

I have been known to eat really old stuff out of the freezer, like so old I don't even know how old it is, lol.

They usually recommend 3-6 months, but that is just a guideline.

My verdict?  Safe, but not as tasty

If it still has the color of beef then I would say it's fine, thaw a package out and sniff it. Your nose will know =)

Next time you plan to store meat, wrap it in aluminum foil over the see-thru wrap the store uses; just to protect it from freezer burn better.

Edit: here's a chart of how long to keep foods stored, red meat is good up to a year if kept frozen.

no throw it in the trash no longer then 6 mons. Never take a chance with meat better be safe then sorry

meat actually hangs around your freezer for longer than a week???!!! argh you're so lucky.

naw its gone bad... i dont trust frozen meat for longer than 6 weeks. I buy just enough to last for the week so that way im not wondering and sniffing raw meat.
